Big Data - No Problem
We help with large scale data ingestion, migration and process performance...
" We like very much Qtility Move, we think it is the best tool in the market to do exports from Documentum to the file system and we appreciate very much the quick responses of your company to our tests."
- Beta reviewer from tier 1 international ECM consultancy
Building Load Testing Environments:
" Every project I've been on has struggled with load testing. Some leave it to the last minute and then do half a job as the scope has been under-estimated; some give up and leave load testing to real life production and real users with inevitable consequences. Based on this I always assumed that something like your product would have a place in the market. In fact I thought of doing it myself but never found the time."
- Robin East at xense

Sometimes you just have to let it out. MOVE can export complete folder structures, selected folders or query results along with included files and documents with complete or partial metadata.
ECM Export - Import - Transfer
The process of exporting, importing or transferring content from one repository to another is not an easy task. Providing reliable and verifiable results is a necessity when working with enterprise information so make sure you plan carefully and execute with a verification step with each movement of content.
MOVE can move content from one repository to another and also support the export of content from repositories to operating systems with associated metadata. On request we can so transform content formats such as creating multipage pdf files from single page tiff files, incorporate metadata in the files and pulling metadata from disparate data sources such as application SQL databases. Soon MOVE will support, in addition to Documentum, Sharepoint and Alfresco repositories and import from share drives.
Building Representative ECM Test Environments
Documentum and other ECM repositories can contain millions or billions of content objects and terabytes of file storage. Since capacity and performance testing is an important step in any upgrade or deployment project the “pre-prod” or “test” environments used to prove the architecture and design of a proposed production environment need to represent, quantitatively, the production environment.
Currently the process of creating a representative test environment is a tedious and potentially risky process. An administrator has several alternative techniques to reproducing a repository:
Cloning a Production Repository
We propose people stop using the "cloning" process. Replacing the database of the test environment with that of the production database is possible, but inherently risky.
The repository may start up before the changes are made they may take down existing production services.
Users, developers or administrators may mistake the identically named repositories in test and or production.
May expose confidential information.
May also duplicate storage space by copying file stores.
Use MOVE instead.
Using Extract/Transfer/Load (ETL) tools
There are ETL tools which can move content that may be difficult to configure and expensive to deploy for projects. MOVE is neither difficult to use or expensive. Talk to use about monthly, quarterly or annual subscriptions.
Writing Custom Scripts
This is common practice but these scripts need to be revised and maintained.
Sometimes you need to customize your processes and with MOVE you can accommodate, support and even include customization in our support agreement.
You will be amazed at the economics of MOVE. Just call for a quote.
